Biodynamics

"Cultivation is a projection of man and man of his cultivation."

Biodynamic Agriculture is the first organic farming developed in Europe and is based on vital, orderly and committed work. In 1924, the scholar Rudolf Steinerobserving the impoverishment of the soils, began to speak of this form of agriculture, pointing out the special relationship that existed between man-cosmos-earth. Thus, the philosophy is none other than to give back more to the earth than it gives us, for example, by cultivating crops or serving as pasture for animals.

Today, biodynamic agriculture has become the purest, most natural and respectful way to treat the land; from Entheos we promote, guide and take care of this agricultural method, as well as its practices and principles so that everyone who wants to, always has access to the best information.

On the other hand, as for the main differences between traditional agriculture and biodynamic agriculture, the latter is not only based on material needs, but also takes into account the vital energies in nature.

This type of agriculture, in addition to respecting the environment and biodiversity, includes a spiritual dimension in the relationship between man and the earth, and proposes to work in harmony with cosmic forces.

This means that the farm, orchard or farm is a living, self-sufficient organism, made up of all the animals and plants that inhabit it.

We are part of nature, we work with its vital energy, we respond to its needs always using natural resources in a responsible way. We have the knowledge, the sensitivity and the responsibility to leave a better world for future generations.

“Biodynamic Agriculture takes into account all the millenary knowledge, respects the rhythms of nature. It produces balanced food, full of flavor, with more vitamins, diverse mineral salts, without added contaminants, with great quality. Living and healthy food, with the essence of the place, with the quality of minerals, vegetables, animals and human beings that interact there”.

The work of caring for the soil is completed with the application of natural and sustainable substances in the soil, as well as in the vegetative part of the plant, these substances are called biodynamic preparations. These preparations were made from plant, animal and mineral components that nourish the soil, increase the life of the soil, give structure and strengthen the plant’s metabolic-immunological system, achieving perfect harmony.

The biodynamic preparations provide the conditions for the impulse of life to appear, seeking the natural balance of the ecosystem. Each of the biodynamic preparations we use are carefully elaborated by ourselves, in our own farm, with raw materials of exceptional quality.

In short, at Entheos we understand this approach to nature as a lifestyle, a holistic, ecological and ethical approach. Thus, the biodynamic method treats and understands differently each of the elements of the farm (from agricultural production to animal husbandry) and we not only put it into practice, study and support it; we bring this way of working to other people and projects.
